... you name it. These musings come out of the encounter today with the paranoid mama.

Why has this incident set me off so?

Probably because I feel like I've spent the better part of my life trying hard to be "smaller than life" -- to leave no negative footprint and yet something as simple as asserting myself merely enough to photograph clouds brings out someone who has convicted me in her mind before she knows anything about me.



Of course I must be doing terrible things, after all I'm driving a shittier car than hers in the middle school pick-up lanes for after-school activities. It's nearly dark. I'd need flash units and a whole set up to even *try* to take pictures of the kids leaving from band practice or their other after-school activities.

I'm just tired of living among paranoid idiots who still managed somehow to have money.

And what's funny is the shots weren't especially wonderful. I'd probably have never devoted any time to buffing them at all if it hadn't been for the incident.
